Summer so far.

I finished my last exam about two weeks after most people, what with having an extra two and a half hour maths exam, so I never got to join in the big 'yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay let's party cos exams are over innit'.

Well, first reason being I had another exam, and second being that our year actually didn't hold a party until nearly a month later when only 20 something people turned up, half being people who are still in school.

My exam was in the morning, and I thought my friend's exam was also in the morning, so we planned to go round to hers after to have a lazy movie day. Except she was an idiot and her exam was in the afternoon. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but spending nearly a whole school day in school when I don't have school and have finished school, sucks. I learnt how to play poker with Doctor Who cards. I carried a tray of chocolate cake around for my friend who baked them and gave them out to teachers as she's not returning. Mainly because of a evil music teacher.

We went to beach. I got sunburnt.

That's my silly friend who doesn't know when her exams are.

We're a little crazy together.

Oh, we also went to the same beach again. During the beginning of the heatwave. This time I wore plenty of sun-cream. Corinne learns from her mistakes you see.

Oh wait, before beach I had a 'pot noodle date' with the same friend. Her name is Emilia. Basically, we eat noodles together. Unfortunately, because she refers to every time I hang out with a friend as a 'date', her mother thinks I might be a lesbian now.

The extent of my cooking skills.

Anyway, beach again! So this is my fashion moment. I have this skirt, part of a Malaysian (where I was born) baju kurung.

That's the bottom bit. Aw, I was so cute.

Anyway.... as a dress

As a skirt---->

Who needs Gok Wan??

That wasn't the only piece of clothing from when I was tiny, my bikini top is also one from when I was ..... seven maybe?

Okay, I understand I'll never make it as a fashion blogger, but honestly, I was pretty proud that I could wear clothes I've had for so long.

Next day we celebrated my twin friends' 16th birthday, and like typical teenagers.. we went to Folly Farm. It's a little like a kid zoo. Except they have giraffes which is pretty cool.

That goat/lamb tried to eat my skirt. It actually bit it.

This is me milking a fake cow. ---->

It's a giraffe.

In all honesty, we didn't really play on those springy toys for fun, I just thought it was a cute photo opportunity.

Ooh, I'm not writing this in chronological order. Before our second time at the beach, I went up to London with the school Chemistry team and engineering team. Our chemistry team came 7th in the national finals which I struggle to be completely happy about, (runners-up were the 2nd to 6th). So as a treat/recognition thing out local MP gave us a tour of Parliament. I really do appreciate it, but I wish he spoke and not whispered. And I wish we had lunch at a 'lunchy' time, halfway through the tour I was already making comparisons of everything in the Parliament with food.
Guys are so funny.
I made a friend for that day, we talked a lot, every now and then he made a few comments which was in my opinion a little creepily flirtatious. Another guy thought I was deliberately talking to him to neglect him.
My mother and I laughed about this for a while.

Back to after Folly Farm.

I went on a three day Leadership course to get a BELA qualification (Basic Expedition Leader Award). On the last day we went for 12 km walk. Which would have been fine were it not for my Duke of Edinburgh expedition the immediate next three days.

We walked 42km in total over three days, camped for two nights and carried a heavy roughly 15kg bag.

The first night we spilt methylated spirit on our tent, so Emilia and I stayed up for a while panicking. We thought we would die if we breathed in too much of the fumes. We thought about calling my boyfriend to ask if it was dangerous, as I knew even if it was a stupid question he would probably answer it. But we had no signal so we spent 10 minutes memorising his number so we could emergency dial it. That didn't work either. In the end we slept with all the door flaps open, meaning it was cold, but at least there was circulating air.

The next day we found out it was not dangerous.

The next night we pitched our tent on hard ground.

Oh and part of the expedition was clambering through rape seed fields, which was the height of me. Look at my leg!

And after that I've been relaxing. It really did hurt my body those three days, no shade at all in that heat wave either. Oh and I fell during the last leg on the coastal path, but it was that that hurt. It was pushing myself up but on a thorn. Oooooh, I also had a disgusting blister that took three times to burst. You're welcome for that lovely fact.

Wait, I remember what I did after my exam now, I went dry-skiing and fell on my second-last run. It was lucky that was a run that my boyfriend didn't film.

Spent time with my brother, xylophone duets:

teaching him French:

Oh he's taller than me now. MY YOUNGER BROTHER IS NOW TALLER THAN ME.

And we went to our local town carnival today:

So I'm going to Blue Lagoon (water park) tomorrow, and then off to Naples on Tuesday! Truly looking forward to that!

P.s. I have new glasses
